EVE Alliance tournament06/22/2008
Posted by: FeAr

The Final Stand will be participating in the next alliance tournament EVE has to offer. We are in the process of funding for the tournament. We plan on surprising EVE with our performance and the team is very anxious. Recently, we have re-opened recruitment for TFS.eve. You can locate the thread in the Alliance and Corporation Recruitment Center.
Ever since going outlaw TFS has transformed into a tight-knit dedicated corporation. As big as the universe is we are starting to leave a mark behind in our path. Now is the chance where you can apply and help build on our already growing reputation as outlaws.
Question is.... Do you have what it takes?

Battle of the Connections05/04/2008
Posted by: ZeroGravity
Hey everyone,
It’s been quite some time since any news has been released, and for that we are sorry. Unfortunately the topic of news today isn’t exactly what we would call upbeat. Recently our sponsored host XeSolutions has had issues with internal and client database connections. It seems that for the most part the internal issues have been square away; however they are still having some trouble concerning client database connections. At the moment this is about all we have to report on, and as soon we know more this will be updated with more information.
[UPDATEED 05/04/2008 11:21PM PST]:
XeSolutions thinks they have worked out the problem as of 11PM PST tonight. The problem was narrowed down to a routing issue for a cluster of client server racks. The routing hardware for these racks also handled their internal website and databases, thus why their support system was down as well.

TFS.css undefeated in CEVO-A01/23/2008

TFS.css (TFS) vs Team Second Nature (SECONDnature)
Map: de_contra
Date: 1/22/2008
1st Half: [CT]TFS[7] > [T]SECONDnature[5]
2nd Half: [CT]SECONDnature[5] < [T]TFS[6]
Final Score: 13-10 (TFS.css)
First Half: This map was the map we had put most of our time into so that we could achieve our goal of a perfect 8-0 season in CEVO A. When the match first started, SN took b fast, taking out ceNt1c and psycho. SN planted the bomb at the B site and eventually won the round. Second round, TFS made some quick changes and won the round. Third round, SN attacked bombsite A, and it was left to psycho to clutch it, but he failed :x. The 1st half kept flip flopping back and forth and at the end, TFS won 7-5.
Second Half: TFS started off 2nd half very worried about our situation because de_contra is a CT sided map, and SN got 5 rounds, which is a lot. At first, we started to rush bombsite B, and it worked. We took bombsite B three times in a row, then we changed things up and faked a, went into sewers, and tried taking B again, but the lower A player stopped the strategy from working correctly. We then attempted to take B site more and more. Eventually the score was 5-1 with us in the lead, but they started making a comeback. They won the next four rounds and the score was then 5-5. TFS had to do a save round and everyone bought deagles and rushed mid like mini rambo's. We then jumped in sewers after getting the mid pick, took B site and held it off until the end, which was the end of the match.
Note: VERY good, VERY scary game. GL to them in all of their leagues.
I would like to congratulate myself and all of the TFS.css squad as we are 1 of 2 teams in CEVO A this season to go 8-0 with and undefeated record. I hope we do well in playoffs and maybe take it all home!

2008 and beyond01/04/2008

Well its 2008. Time passes fast doesn't it? Here we are celebrating our 8th year as an organization. It's a new year and with a new year brings new things! We at The Final Stand promise that this year will be even more exciting then the last. As you can see we have a new website! We have many goals that we would like to reach this year. Just to name a few, we are looking to become more active in the competitive community with news, predictions, expansion of various FPS/MMO games. We are also looking to turn TFS from a competitive organization into a more business oriented organization where we would be providing more for our teams. As always, we will be upgrading and maintaining our website to make sure you have the best possible experience. There is more but we rather keep it a secret for now!
Recently, we decided to pick up a Call of Duty 4 team. This team was made to compete at the highest level that the game has to offer. We plan on going to various LAN tournaments soon as we feel we are prepared as a group. Our Counter Strike: Source team who has been with TFS for several years now is ready to start their season and are prepared to show the community that they are going to kick it up a notch (sorry Emeril, stealing your thunder). Well enough of the competitive side of TFS! Let's talk about some MMO's! We finally introduced our 2nd MMO to TFS known as EVE Online. Shinobi our long time Desert Combat member is leading that division and we wish him all the luck and fun!
Last year we worked with Get-Well Gamers Foundation and it was a complete success. Nothing hits the heart better then seeing a kid enjoying himself due to the contributions of TFS and other organizations. This year we are going to work with more charities in trying to make a difference in the lives of those who need it.
It's going to be a great year. Hold on tight... its going to be a wild ride!!!
